Thank God for Christian friends!
I got off the airplane from Montreal at 8:30, and by 9:30 I was surrounded by my friends, watching a really cheesy Disney movie (The Three Musketeers). This was a good thing, as after a week of living in a place where I felt somewhat in the minority, it was good to again feel the love and acceptance of a community of believers. None of my friends from Bible Study really agree with me on everything, but still, the love based in a unified love of Christ was great (that’s an understatement).
It’s also been nice the last two days to return to my Church, to hear good preaching and to sing one hymn after another to the top of my lungs in praise to God. I’ve been able to again spend time in personal prayer, and I’ve even gotten e-mails from old friends.
This may be what was meant when God promised through Paul in 1 Cor 10:13, where he says that God will leave a way out from our temptation, so that we will never be tempted more than we are able to bear. God knows my limits, and how to deal with them.
Anyway, I’m playing catch up with work, so I’ll have to leave now. comment if y’all get the chance
